TAB Router ("we", "us", or "our") is operated by Virtual Projections DBA TAB Router. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information when you use our products, website (tabrouter.com), customer portal (my.tabrouter.com), and related services.

1. Information We Collect

Account Information

When you purchase a TAB Router or create an account, we collect:

• Name and email address
• Shipping address (for hardware orders)
• Payment method details processed by Stripe; we do not store full card numbers
• Order and payment records such as amount, currency, transaction identifiers, and payment status
• WiFi network name and password used to configure your router and provide portal management

Device Information

Your TAB Router collects the following information about connected devices:

• Device MAC addresses and hostnames (for device identification and management)
• DNS query logs used for ad blocking, parental controls, activity views, and threat summaries. Logs are stored on the router, and requested recent entries or summaries may be retrieved through our servers when you use portal or TAB AI features
• Aggregate network statistics (total queries blocked, active devices count)

Support Interactions

When you contact support via the portal or TAB AI, we collect:

• Support ticket content and conversation history
• TAB AI chat messages (processed through Novita AI's API - see Section 5)

Website Analytics

We use Cloudflare analytics to understand aggregate website traffic. We also offer optional Google Analytics measurement. Google Analytics loads only after you consent, and you can review or change that choice using the Privacy choices control in the website footer.

When enabled, Google Analytics may receive page URLs, referrer information, browser and device details, approximate location derived from network information, website interactions, purchase or refund amounts and currency, and pseudonymous transaction identifiers. We do not send personal form values, payment method details, customer email addresses, shipping addresses, or router DNS activity to Google Analytics.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use your information to:

• Process and fulfill your router orders
• Provide and maintain your TAB Router cloud portal
• Deliver customer support and respond to tickets
• Send order confirmations and shipping notifications
• Process TAB GEO Stream subscriptions and trials
• Improve our products and services

We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information with third parties for marketing purposes.

3. Data Storage and Security

• Customer portal data (accounts, device settings, support tickets, and order records) is stored on our hosting servers
• DNS query data is stored on your router. Recent entries or summaries may pass through our servers when requested for portal views, support, or TAB AI features
• Payment method data is collected by Stripe. Our servers receive the order, amount, currency, customer and transaction identifiers, and payment or refund status needed to fulfill and support purchases
• Website and portal connections use HTTPS/TLS encryption
• Account passwords are hashed using bcrypt. WiFi credentials are separate router configuration data used for device setup and portal management

4. TAB GEO Stream

If you enable TAB GEO Stream (our streaming DNS proxy service):

• DNS queries for supported streaming services are routed through our SmartDNS gateways
• Matching streaming connections may pass through gateway and proxy infrastructure to provide the selected region
• The service processes network information needed to route those connections, such as source addresses and requested hostnames

5. TAB AI Assistant

TAB AI currently uses the DeepSeek V3.2 model through Novita AI's API. When you use TAB AI:

• Your messages and the router context needed to answer or perform a supported request are sent to Novita AI for processing
• Novita AI's service terms and privacy practices apply to that processing
• Conversation history is stored temporarily in your browser session and is not permanently saved on our servers
• TAB AI can execute router commands (like pausing devices) on your behalf - these actions are logged in your portal

6. Third-Party Services

We use the following third-party services:

• Stripe - Payment processing (Stripe Privacy Policy)
• Cloudflare - DNS, CDN, and DDoS protection (Cloudflare Privacy Policy)
• Novita AI - TAB AI language processing
• Google Analytics - Optional website measurement after consent (Google Privacy Policy)
• Amazon SES - Transactional email delivery (AWS Privacy Policy)

7. Cookies

Our customer portal uses essential session cookies to keep you signed in and maintain secure account sessions. If you consent to Google Analytics on the public website, Google may use analytics cookies or similar browser storage for measurement. We do not use advertising cookies.

8. Your Rights

You have the right to:

• Access your personal data by logging into your portal
• Update your account information at any time through your portal
• Delete your account and associated data by contacting us at [email protected]
• Export your data upon request

If you are in the EU/EEA, you also have rights under GDPR including data portability, restriction of processing, and the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority.

9. Children's Privacy

TAB Router is a family product with parental controls. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. The parental controls feature is operated by the parent/guardian account holder.

10. Data Retention

We retain account, device, order, support, and service records for as long as needed to provide the service, maintain security, resolve disputes, and meet applicable recordkeeping obligations. DNS logs stored on the router are subject to the router's configured log rotation. Contact us to ask about deletion or the retention of a specific record type.

11. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any material changes by posting the updated policy on this page and updating the "Last updated" date.
